In a family full of teachers, Jason Schaffer has always been the student. As a child growing up near the Lake of the Ozarks, (just an earshot away from Party Cove (if you haven’t been there, you should check it out. It’s an … experience), he quickly developed a lifelong interest in learning and building things.

 

When he was 16, he got a gig working at a nearby marina, which he held all the way through college. Not only did the job teach him about boats, it also taught him invaluable lessons in people and customer service.

 

During his years as a student at Missouri State University, Jason found his passion for numbers, building plans, and neurotically measuring various states of effort needed to pass each class while leaving maximum time to socialize and work. To this day, he still plans everything from bucks needed and bucket lists before 72 (a big number), to how much weight he plans to lose before heading on vacation (an even bigger number).

 

After graduating with a degree in marketing and sales management, Jason began his 20-year stint at TEKsystems, where he used his creativity and expertise in coaching, strategy and relationship building to help grow a small firm into a multi-billion-dollar IT and staffing agency.

 

As the Director of Operations and Business Development, Jason was responsible for leading 60 people on site, in addition to remote team members in three markets. A two-time National Leader of the Year recipient, Jason helped the Kansas City office generate over $50M in revenue per year while increasing gross profit $140M over 10 years.

 

Along the way, he helped with the placement of over 10,000 technical consultants, developed and promoted 200+ professionals and enabled 500 sales contest wins for his team. 

 

Today, Jason has leveraged the skills he gained from his life experiences to found Catalyst Partner Group, an organization dedicated to helping people with planning and delivering growth strategy.

 

He likes to think of his company as a spark to helping other businesses create focus, urgency and personal engagement in their sales process while quickly building talented and engaged teams. He believes in a collaborative and creative business model and is excited to help future partners reach new levels of success.

 

Jason lives with his wife and three children in Kansas City. He enjoys traveling, staying physically fit, and inventing new moves on the dance floor that few have ever seen and even fewer can comprehend.
